All Things New: Connect in Community
Nate Drye   -

Jesus said that a mark of being a disciple is that we are known for loving and caring for each other (John 13:35).

Deep relationships will feed your life, will care for you, will hear you and show up when you’re hurting, and will cause you to show up like that for others.

Luke 13:6-9 NLT

1. You’re bad
2. God is good
3. Try harder.

The Jesus Sermon
1. You’re bad
2. God is good
3. Wait! I’ll work hard. You’ll be ok if you’ll let me help.

We never know what may happen when we stop judging, stop settling for surface relationships and allow the Holy Spirit to work deep in us.

If you’re having trouble connecting, what do you do?
1. Find your spot and get planted.
2. Allow the specialist, God’s Holy Spirit, to do the deep work in you.
3. Wait for the fruit.

Questions to Ponder:
• Not “Who is my neighbor”, but “Am I a neighbor?”
• Not “Who cares about me”, but “Will I push past my hurts to connect with others?”
