Reclaimed: No More Masks
Nate Drye   -

Key Scriptures:

2 Timothy 1:2-5, Matthew 6:5 and 16

Key Points:

    • There are Four Masks that keep us from being genuine: (1) The Performer, (2) The Pleaser, (3) The Perfectionist and (4) The Pretender.
    • Masks cover things up.
    • Find a Paul and reach out to a Timothy.

Get talking: a conversation starter for your group.

    • Pastor Nate identified 4 masks that we wear when we cant be genuine/ authentic (Performance, Pleasing, Perfectionist and Pretending). What other masks can you identify that we use to cover up our wounds?

Start thinking. Ask a question to get your group thinking.

    • What is your primary mask?
    • What wounds do your masks cover up?
    • What would it look like for you if you found healing for those wounds?

Prayer and Next Steps:

    • God, We believe you heal us. We believe that you know exactly what we need. As we emerge from this pandemic restriction, we pray that your wisdom and protection would surround us. Help us to not only be healed from this pandemic, but to find your healing for our wounds through your church- by finding a Paul or a Timothy. Amen.
    • Ask someone to pray and stand with you as you let your pain, doubts, and difficulties drive you to God.
