When God Doesn’t Waiting on God

Habakkuk shows us how to wait for the Lord

1. He Listens

I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the Lord says and how he will answer my complaint.
Habakkuk 2:1 NLT

2. He writes
Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.
Habakkuk 2:3 NLT

Satan wants to take from you what God gives to you.

Michelle’s Story:

3. He pursues a right spirit.

“Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God. Habakkuk 2:4 NLT

My faith isn’t just rooted in the result of what I want to happen, my faith is the result of the character of God in me!

Next Steps:

  1. Decide to follow Jesus.
  2. Pray and listen for God’s reply- get in His word.
  3. Be the hands and feet of Jesus: donations to the bins, donations to help us bring weekly meals to our 911 responders.
