The story of Christmas is the story of the messiah – prophecies of old retold generation to generation. Year after year, the Jewish people spoke, memorized and sang about the coming messiah. Can you see the eyes of children light up with wonder as they hear the words of Isaiah, Jeremiah and David? A king coming to heal the land, to forgive sin and bring eternal life. This foretold wonder unveiled itself in the person of Jesus Christ born to a virgin, laid in a manger and wrapped in swaddling clothes. It wasn’t the entrance the world was expecting, but the entrance the world needed. The birth of Jesus Christ meant so much for the world: Hope, Peace, Love, and Joy. There is much wonder in the Christmas season. But most of all, the wonder of Jesus. O Come let us adore Him this Christmas season.
